A two day trip with Don to the Munster-Norddeich line in a cold and partly snowy January. When both days stayed dull and very cold, and the running of the 012 pacifics was, with a couple of exceptions, rather restrained. Possibly we just chose wrongly and travelled on trains where drivers stuck rigidly to the 110 km/h, (68 mph), limit that applied to some services on that line. The lineside photography, including four hours a few miles North of Meppen, ( I mainly took cine film that day), is best remembered for the warmth on the train back to Rheine after we'd put our cameras away for the day!
