September 6th saw the annual Shepherd Neame Hop Festival in Faversham, Kent. With 34067 "Tangmere" doing the honours so far as the train from Victoria to the Festival was concerned.

| 34067 was running just a little early as the pacific hurried through Newington.

| As in previous years a shuttle train ran from Faversham to Sheerness. Diesel hauled on the way out, but with Tangmere in charge on the way back. Seen here crossing the Swale Bridge. |

| I timed a lot of steam runs Waterloo-Weymouth and Waterloo-Salisbury from 1962 to 1967. A lot of these timing logs are missing, but I do have daily details of which steam locos I travelled behind, and over what distance.
