The frosty weather continues the next day as 34023 exits Sharpethorne Tunnel. next 22 Dec 2007. 31065 leaves Horstead Keynes. To me the saddest railway photo I could possibly have ever taken. The last of so many steam loco photos I had taken over 35 years with my Darling Wife Bobbie standing next to me. next 1 Dec. December weekends are very busy on the Bluebell, as a large number of Santa Special trains operate, providing an essential boost to the year's income. On it's first weekend of those trains 80151 works the 11.30 from Kingscote towards Sharpthorne Tunnel. next 1 Dec. 34028 heads out of Sharpthorne tunnel on the 11.31 from Sheffield Park. As with the previous photo, this was taken from the public footpath at the former West Hoathley Station. next 1 Dec.
